Game 6 - Friday, April 23 - 7 p.m.

Box Score

ATLANTA, Ga. - Rose-Hulman's Mike Tranter tossed a complete-game, five-hitter and the Engineers jumped on Trinity pitching for 13 hits in a 14-4 win Friday night  at the 2004 SCAC Baseball Championship. The game was halted after seven innings due to the run rule.

No. 21 ranked Rose-Hulman (33-4), which scored five times in the third and four in the seventh, is the only remaining unbeaten team in the bracket and plays next at 7 p.m. Saturday night against either Millsaps or Trinity. The Engineers have guaranteed a spot in Sunday's round of play.

Each of Rose-Hulman's nine starters had at least one hit, led by junior Scott Tourville, senior Matt Moore, senior Drew Furry and junior Jimmy Goebel with two hits each.

Moore scored three times and drove two home runs, while Jones and Goebel each scored twice for the balanced attack.  Freshman Matt Salisbury added three runs scored on a single and two walks.

Tranter, who struck out two and walked no one, improved to 6-0 on the season and lowered his earned run average to 3.40.

Huston O'Connor led the Trinity offense with a solo home run, while Russell Madison and Mike Perez each had one hit and one run scored for the Tigers.

Rose-Hulman improved to 33-4 on the season and advances to the Saturday night game against the winner of the 10 a.m. contest between Millsaps and Trinity.
