DePauw wins third consecutive
SCAC Women's Golf Title
LAKE LANIER, Ga. --
DePauw University, the top-ranked team in DIII women's golf, cruised to a
comfortable 26 shot victory at the 2004 SCAC
Women's Golf Championship which was contested at Renaissance Pine Isle Resort.
DePauw shot an SCAC second-round
record 323 for a two-round total of 644.
The Tigers also placed all five of its golfer's on the All-SCAC First Team - a
conference first. DePauw was led by freshman Sarah Gates, who earned SCAC
Women's Golfer-of-the-Year honors with a two-day score of 157 (+11). Click

DePauw leads after first round
of
2004 Women's Golf Championships
LAKE LANIER, Ga. --
DePauw University, the top-ranked team in DIII women's golf, has a 15-shot
lead after Day One of the 2004 SCAC
Women's Golf Championship which is being contested at Renaissance Pine Isle Resort.
Sarah Gates of DePauw posted a first-round 75 (+2) and has a four-shot lead over
Trinity University's Kristen Stanley (79) in the race for medalist honors.
