ATLANTA, Ga. - Millsaps College jumped on Hendrix College early and often and cruised to a 14-2 victory Saturday morning in an elimination game at the 2004 SCAC Softball Championship.

Millsaps (22-19) advances to play Trinity University at 4 p.m. today in another elimination contest. Hendrix ends its season with a 12-30 record.

Robin Rockco busted out with three hits in four trips and had four RBI and two runs scored. Renee Green and Victoria Gibson both had two hits and three RBI and Gibson had a round-tripper. Crystal Bender was a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and four runs scored and Josei Manley chipped in with two RBI and a run scored.

Kati Fleming (8-9) went the distance for the Majors on the mound, allowing just four hits while striking out three and walking no one.

Julie Coats of Hendrix absorbed the loss, but did have one of the Warriors' four hits and scored a run.
