MILLINGTON, Tenn. - After being run-ruled the day before, Centre College turned the tables on Saturday and forced a third and deciding game in its series with Austin College, defeating the Kangaroos 11-4 at the 2007 SCAC Divisional Baseball Tournament at Millington USA Field.

The two teams will play tomorrow at 2 p.m. CDT, at Millington USA Field.

The winner of the Sunday's game qualifies for next weekend's SCAC championship tournament at Southwestern University.

Andy Placido improved to 4-4 on the season, as the senior worked an efficient 6.1 innings and allowed seven hits and two earned runs. He struck out four and walked three and shut out Austin for six innings as his teammates built a 5-0 lead.

The 'Roos (18-23) finally pushed across two runs in the top of the seventh, but the Colonels answered with six runs of their own to pull ahead 11-2.

Kai Leathers led the Centre bats with two hits in three trips and drove in three while scoring two runs. Kyle Rakes, Brandon Rosen and Kevin McGee all had two safeties and Jake Jones hit his fourth home run of the season - with this one coming via the rare inside-the-park variety.

Ben Jeffers added two RBIs for the Colonels (15-21).

Patrick Ray had three hits for Austin and also drove in two runs. Matt Finke was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a RBI.

Cory Stevens (1-6) took the loss for the 'Roos, allowing five runs (four earned) while striking out six and walking three in 5.0 innings.

Centre out-hit Austin 14-10 and survived four errors to advance to Sunday's elimination game.
