MILLINGTON, Tenn. -
The 14th-ranked Tigers scored five runs in the second which propelled them to an 8-2 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross-Divisional Playoff win over Austin and evened the best-of-three series at 1-1. The deciding game three is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. CDT.

Adam Ford put the Tigers on the board in the second with a solo homer to left before Eric Reese drove in Jack Gavin with a single and Kyle Thompson scored when Justin Weiner reached on an infield error. Taylor Hoffman's two-out single plated Weiner and Reese and gave the Tigers a 5-0 lead.

Ford led off the third with a single, stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch before scoring on Thompson's single. In the fourth, Kleine drove in Hoffman with a triple and scored on the play for the Tigers' final runs.

Austin scored single runs in the fourth and seventh on RBI singles by Scooter Merritt and John Reisig, respectively.

Jeremy Alland improved to 5-2 after allowing two unearned runs with 10 strikeouts and no walks in eight innings. Paul Rodenhouse pitched a scoreless ninth and struck out a pair. Will Chermak dropped to 4-7 with the loss.

Thompson led the Tigers with three of their 11 hits, while Kleine, Ford and Reese each had two. Austin totaled 13 hits with Andy White, Merritt and Patrick Ray each collecting three. Bennett Herrick and Reisig each had two hits.
