- Oglethorpe University fell behind 51-33 at the half and could never cut the margin to single digits after the intermission, falling 80-60 to fourth-ranked Messiah (Pa.) CONWAY, Ark. -  In exclusive voting by the head coaches of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), junior guard Katie Kulavic of Oglethorpe University was selected as SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Year and DePauw University head coach Kris Huffman was named SCAC Coach-of-the-Year for the third consecutive year. Senior guard Kalei Lowes made it two major awards for the DU Tigers as she was selected the league’s Defensive Player-of-the-Year for the second consecutive year. Texas - Sophomore forward Katy Williams pulled down a career-high 23 rebounds and passed 500 boards for her career as the Austin College women’s basketball team used a big second half run to propel themselves to a 58-45 victory over Southwestern University on Sunday afternoon. Her 23 boards are the most by a SCAC women's player in a single game since 1995. DePauw (4-1) defeated Centre, 80-55, in its SCAC opener and only game of the week.
