#4 CENTRE COLLEGE 82, #5 MILLSAPS COLLEGE 78
(Game Box)

early in the second half and made it stand to defeat Millsaps 82-78 in first

With a 45-41 lead at the half, Centre opened the second on a 13-4 run and never
trailed again, although the Majors did have a shot to tie in the game's final

Trailing 79-76, Millsaps' guard Junior Garth had a good look at a three-pointer
with :14 seconds remaining, but his attempt bounced off the rim and was
rebounded by the Colonels to secure the victory.
First-year forward Coy Zerhusen led four Centre players in double-figures with

rebounds and four assists. First-year guard Rami Almefty chipped in with 17
points and first-year forward Matthew Jakes followed with 12 points and five

the intermission - and allowed host Rhodes back into the game.
Rhodes made the game interesting late when Almefty hit five of six free throws
after a foul and a technical on Ringger to cut the DePauw lead to 64-59 with
