MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Top-seeded DePauw University trailed by a 15-9 score midway through the first half, but went on to outscore Southwestern University 26-7 the remainder of the half on the way to a 79-53 victory over the Pirates in quarterfinal action of the 2005 SCAC Women's Basketball Tournament.

The Tigers (22-4) had four players in double figures, led by Liz Bondi (pictured left) off the bench with 13 points. Sarah Zondor added 12 points and seven rebounds and Amy Argetsinger and Suzy Doughty each finished with 10. Doughty also had five steals.

DePauw, the league's best field goal shooting team, shot 53.6% from the field, while holding the Pirates to just 36.7%, including 13.3% from three-point range (2-of-15).

Kendal George came off the bench to score a game-high 17 points for Southwestern and Kari Crandall finished with 16 points. Erin Nelson had 12 points for the Pirates, who saw their season end with a 9-17 mark.

DePauw advances to Saturday's semifinal game and will play at 3 p.m. against the winner of tonight's Rhodes College and Hendrix College contest.
