MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Oglethorpe's Anna Findley set a new SCAC tournament single-game scoring record, pouring in a game-high 37 points, as the second-seeded Stormy Petrels defeated seventh-seeded Southwestern 80-67 in quarterfinal action of the 2007 SCAC Women's Basketball Tournament Friday afternoon at Rhodes College.

Oglethorpe came out smoking, hitting on 17 of 32 shots from the floor, including 5 of 11 from distance, to take a 17 point lead into the intermission.

Findley sank 12 of 20 shots from the floor, including another tournament record seven three-pointers. Katie Kulavic was the only other Oglethorpe player in double figures with 14 points. The Petrels sank 21 of 25 free throw attempts.

Oglethorpe, who improved to 20-6, secured the program's second consecutive 20 win season after having never reached the mark before last season.

The Petrels await the winner of Trinity and Rhodes and will play in tomorrow's first semifinal game with tip scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.

Southwestern, which had a team-high 21 points from senior Kendal George in her final game as a Pirate, ends the season at 13-13.
