Centre earns historic NCAA invite for SCAC Field Hockey
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Following one of its best regular seasons in school history, the Centre College field hockey team has been selected to compete in the 24-team NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Centre and Rhodes split major awards in 2007 All-SCAC Field Hockey voting

Rhodes College’s Erin Atmar and Centre College’s Teresa Johnstone, the top two scorers in the league, were selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Offensive Co-Players-of-the-Year in exclusive voting by the league’s head field hockey coaches. In that same voting, Ann Guagliardo of Centre was named the league’s Defensive Player-of-the-Year award and Charlie Wagner of Rhodes was tabbed as the SCAC Newcomer-of-the-Year. SCAC releases 2007 Field Hockey Tournament Bracket
SUWANEE, Ga. -
The SCAC office released the 2007 SCAC Field Hockey Tournament bracket today, which will be held Friday-Sunday, Nov. 2-4 at Sewanee. Rhodes College will be the top seed, followed by Centre College, DePauw University, Sewaene-University of the South and Hendrix College. Hendrix and Sewanee begin tournament play on Friday at Noon, with the winner taking on Rhodes on Saturday at 11 a.m. Centre and DePauw follow at 1:30 in Saturday's second semifinal match. 2007 SCAC Tournament Bracket | SCAC Championships website
