The 2006 SCAC Fall Record & Fact Book is hot off the press and contains over 250 pages of stats, standings and records for all six conference-sponsored fall sports. Contained within is a look back at the inaugural season of SCAC field hockey. Included within this book is a complete listing of game results, single-game and single-season records and a listing of the 2004 and 2005 All-SCAC teams. Also, there is a complete list of Player-of-the-Week honorees, as well as Players-of-the-Year, Coaches-of-the-Year and much more. Preston named head field hockey coach at DePauw

- Gina Preston, assistant field hockey coach at Washington & Jefferson College has been named DePauw's head field hockey coach. Preston replaces Carla Lane who announced her resignation in February after serving as the Tigers' head coach the last seven years. Complete Release

Hobbs returns to Centre as field hockey coach

Centre College Athletics Director Brian Chafin has announced the hiring of Tom Hobbs as the school's new head field hockey coach for 2007-2008 school year. Hobbs, a 2002 Centre graduate, will return to his alma mater for his second stint as the head field hockey coach. Complete Release

Nine SCAC field hockey players, including Allison Baccich of DePauw University and Hilary Mat of Rhodes College - the league's Offensive Players-of-the-Year - and Emily Boyle of Centre College and Claiborne Buckingham of Sewanee: University of the South - the league's Defensive Players-of-the-Year - were named to the NFHCA Division III All-Great Lakes Region Team. SCAC announces 2006 All-SCAC Field Hockey Team
MEMPHIS, Tenn.
- DePauw University’s Allison Baccich and Rhodes College’s Hilary Mast, the top two scorers in the league, were selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Offensive Co-Players-of-the-Year in exclusive voting by the league’s head field hockey coaches. In that same voting, Emily Boyle of Centre College and Claiborne Buckingham of Sewanee: University of the South split the vote and share the league’s Defensive Player-of-the-Year award. Kristen Lee of Rhodes was voted as the SCAC Newcomer-of-the-Year and Carla Lane of DePauw received the nod for SCAC Coach-of-the-Year for the second consecutive year. Complete Release

Rhodes College wins 2006 SCAC Field Hockey Title
MEMPHIS, Tenn.
- Rhodes College's Sara Haney snapped a 1-1 tie with a goal in the 50th minute and Elizabeth Erny found the back of the cage one minute later to give the Lynx a 3-1 victory over Centre College in the championship match of the 2006 SCAC Field Hockey Tournament. SCAC has three selected for NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star Game

Senior forward Hilary Mast of Rhodes College and senior forwards Allison Baccich and Becca Gaines, both of DePauw University, were each selected to participate in the NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star Game. Karvoski named Head Field Hockey Coach at Hendrix
