DePauw University's women's golf
program is the best of any NCAA Division III college in the nation
for students seeking a "balanced" experience, according to
Golf Digest's third annual College Golf Guide. The
magazine judges schools in several categories. A "balanced" program
is for students who place equal emphasis on school and sport. The
magazine's September issue, on newsstands today, focuses on college
programs.

Coaches Association announces 2006-2007 All-American scholar
recipients

SPRINGS, Fla. - The National Golf Coaches Association
All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II & III were announced
today with a total of five women’s golfers from the SCAC recognized
with this prestigious honor. Southwestern led the way with three
honorees: Delilah Dominguez, Kristen Davenport and Marisa Mauldin.
Oglethorpe's Katie Dale and Trinity's Kaitlin Elsenheimer were also
honored.

names Coaches-of-the-Year for Spring Sports

After exclusive voting by head
coaches of each sport, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
(SCAC) announced its 2007 Coaches-of-the-Year for men’s and women’s
track and field and men’s and women’s golf.

CORAL
SPRINGS, Fla.
- Led by First-Team
selection Sarah Gates of DePauw University, the SCAC had four
players selected to the Duramed FUTURES Tour NGCA Division III
All-America Teams. Marisa Mauldin of Southwestern University and
Ali Murtaugh of DePauw were both named to the Second Team and
Kristen Kriegshausser of DePauw was a Third Team selection.

DePauw finishes second; Southwestern fourth at NCAA Women's Golf Tournament
DePauw's Gates a four-time all-American
HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS,
Fla. - DePauw University shot a final round 319 and finished the four-round
NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships in second place with a
1303 - the best finish at the national championship in school
history. Southwestern University, although it slipped a place to
finish at fourth, also set a high-water mark for its program.

Women’s Golf Committee announced 20 teams and 11 individuals that
will participate in the 2007 NCAA Division III Women’s Golf
Championships. SCAC Champion Southwestern University along with
at-large selection DePauw University will compete in the NCAA
Division III Championships which take place May 8-11 at the Mission
Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

- The Southwestern University
women's golf team won the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
championship on Sunday at White Wing Golf Club and earned the
conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship that will be
held from May 8-11 in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

Golf World/NGCA Coaches Poll
Oglethorpe
receives votes
In the third Golf World/National Golf Coaches
Association (NGCA) Division III Coaches Poll of the 2007 spring season, DePauw University
remains at third (tied with St. Thomas) while Southwestern
University improved a position in the poll to 11th. After spending
the last two rankings at 10th, Oglethorpe University dropped out of
the Top 25, but did receive votes.
