JEREMIAH
MARKS OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY. a 6-0, 207-pound senior running back from
Glen Ellyn, Ill., has been named the SCAC Football Offensive
Player-of-the-Week for
games played
Saturday, November 10.
In the final game of his career, Marks had, perhaps, the game of his
career.
The senior running back
had a school record 45 carries for 181 yards in the Tigers' 24-21
come-from-behind win over ninth-ranked Wabash in the annual Monon Bell Classic -
DePauw's first win in the series since 2004.
Marks also set single-game career-highs for receptions (7) and for yards
(97) and his two touchdowns in the contest came via pass receptions.
Marks posted a career-high 278 all-purpose yards - the fourth-highest
single-game total in DePauw history and the most in a Monon Bell game. His two
touchdowns make him the SCAC all-time leader with 336 points and 56 total
touchdowns - breaking marks formerly held by Tim McDaniel of Centre (1988-91)
who had 54 total touchdowns and 324 points.
It was Marks' 19th career 100-yard rushing game and the senior finishes
his career with 3,869 rushing yards (third in SCAC history) and 4,325
all-purpose yards (second in DePauw history).

ZACK SLOAN OF CENTRE
COLLEGE,
a 5-11, 177-pound sophomore cornerback from Lebanon, Ind., has been selected
the SCAC Football Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday,
November 10.
Sloan
had a monster day in the Centre's 45-31 win over Colorado College.
He posted a career and game-high 13 tackles, including 10 solo and three assisted,
intercepted two passes and broke-up three more, while adding a 90-yard kick-off
return for a touchdown to open the second half.
Sloan's first interception came
in the first quarter. After Colorado recovered a fumble on their own end of the
field, and drove to its own 39-yard line, Sloan intercepted a third and 10 pass
attempt and returned it to the Tiger's 31-yard line. One play later, the
Colonels scored to tie the game at seven.
On Colorado's very next drive, Sloan
picked off his second pass of the game halting another Colorado drive. He just
missed on another pair of interceptions later in the game and then opened the
second half by returning the kick-off 90 yards to extend Centre's lead to 31-14.
For the season, Sloan has posted 59 tackles to go along with eight
interceptions, which is good for the third highest single-season total in school
history, and eight pass break-ups.
