Football - Offensive
JEREMY BRITT OF CENTRE COLLEGE, a
5-8, 203-pound senior running back from Danville, Ky., has been selected the SCAC Football Offensive
Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, November 13.
Britt carried the ball 25 times for 169 yards averaging 6.8 yards per
carry. He also caught two passes for 19 yards and a touchdown in the Colonels'
21-16 win over Rose-Hulman.
For the season, Britt averaged 42.1 yards per game, 10th in the SCAC. He
also finished 10th in the league with 26 catches in eight games (3.25
receptions per game).
Football - Defensive
ERIC LEWIS OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY, a 6-0,
206-pound sophomore linebacker from
Bloomington, Ind., has been selected the SCAC Football Defensive
Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, November 13. Lewis
totaled nine tackles, including seven solos, in Saturday's 14-7
Monon Bell win against Wabash - the 111th meeting between
the two schools. Lewis had two sacks for a loss of seven yards,
with his second sack coming on a third down play of Wabash's final drive
that forced a 4th-and-11 with around 1:30 remaining. The sophomore
linebacker also forced a fumble and had one quarterback hurry. The DePauw
defense limited Wabash to just 226 yards of offense and the Little Giants
only single-digit point total of the season.
