Football - Offensive
On Saturday, TRINITY UNIVERSITY broke a school-record that had been standing since 1952, and also shattered the CAC/SCAC mark for that same record. And for acknowledgement of that record-breaking performance, another first is in order. For the first time, a team's entire starting offensive line is being recognized as the league's "Player-of-the-Week."

TRINITY UNIVERSITY'S BEN PRATER
, a 6-2, 283-pound senior guard from Spring, Texas, TOMMY FORD, a 6-0, 270-pound senior center from Houston, Texas, BILLY MORAN, a 6-2, 266-pound junior tackle from Friendswood, Texas, BRANDON SPENCER, a 6-0, 274-pound junior guard from Coppell, Texas, and COREY GRANT, a 5-11, 291-pound junior tackle from Houston, Texas, have been selected the SCAC Football Offensive Players-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, September 18. The Tiger offensive line powered Trinity to a record-breaking performance on Saturday, as the team piled up 701 yards against Redlands - a team that has made the NCAA playoffs the last two years. Also, 389 of those yards came on the ground as the front five controlled the line of scrimmage for its best team rushing performance in three years. The team rushed the ball just 44 times in the game, giving them an average of 8.8 yards per carry. And the line allowed Trinity quarterbacks all day to pick apart the Redlands' defensive backfield, as the Tigers' completed 21 of 24 passes for 312 yards and four TDs without an interception, a QB hurry or a sack allowed. Overall, Trinity averaged better than 10 yards per play on offense, needing just 68 plays to break 700 yards. The 701 yards is both a school and CAC/SCAC record for a single-game, breaking Trinity's previous record of 680 yards against Texas A&I in 1952. The old conference mark was set by Trinity in 2001 against Rose-Hulman (670).
