Football - Offensive
CHRIS JACKSON OF MILLSAPS COLLEGE, a 6-2, 205-pound senior receiver/kick returner from Phenix City, Ala., has been selected the SCAC Football Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, November 11.

Jackson
put on a show on Saturday afternoon, racking up 225 yards of total offense, including two punt returns for a touchdown (51 and 67 yards), one kick return for 49 yards and five catches for 26 yards and a touchdown in the Majors' 34-12 victory over 14th-ranked Trinity. Jackson set a new school-record for punt return yards (150) and punt returns for a TD (two) in a single-game and also picked up two special teams tackles, delivering two big hits on the Tigers’ Ted Barnhart. The win for Millsaps ends Trinity’s streak of 13-straight conference championships and sends the Majors to the playoffs for the first time since 1975. For the season, Jackson leads the SCAC in receptions (59), receiving yards (661), receiving touchdowns (9). all-purpose yards (156.4 per game) and kick returns (22.7 yards per return).

Football - Defensive
RONNIE WHEAT OF MILLSAPS COLLEGE, a 6-0, 210-pound junior linebacker from Vancleave, Miss., has been selected the SCAC Football Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, November 11.

Wheat
had seven tackles (four solo) and a half a tackle-for-loss, and also returned his second interception for a touchdown in as many weeks, picking off Trinity’s Jacob Cannon and scampering 73 yards untouched for the score as the Majors earned their first SCAC title since 1996 with the 34-12 victory over Trinity. Wheat is the fifth Millsaps player to return an interception for a touchdown this season and adds to the Majors season total of 18 picks. For the season, Wheat has 35 tackles in seven games, including 6.5 tackles for loss. He also has three interceptions that he returned for a league-best 92 yards.
