Men's Basketball
ANDREW
KING OF HENDRIX
COLLEGE, a 6-6, 200-pound junior forward from Granbury, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's
Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, December
10 through Sunday, December 16.
King
posted his league-leading
fifth double-double of the season on Thursday against University of
Dallas.
He tallied 20 points on 6 of 12 shooting from the field and 8 of 11 from
the charity stripe and also grabbed 12 rebounds as the Warriors improved
to 5-2 with the 77-67 victory.
On the season, King is
averaging 17.7 points (fifth in the SCAC) and a league-leading 12.4
rebounds per game. He is shooting 47.3 percent (13th in the SCAC) from
the field and averaging 2.57 assists per game (tied for 12th in the
SCAC).

Basketball
MELANIE
AUGUSTE OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a 5-6, junior guard
from Cameron Park, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Women's Basketball
Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, December 10 through
Sunday, December 16.
Auguste was dominant in two wins against Augustana (Ill.)
College this past weekend.
In Friday's 71-61 victory, she posted just the ninth triple-double in
the SCAC since the 2001-02 season - finishing with 12 points, 11
rebounds and 12 assists. Auguste hit four clinching free throws
in the final 15 seconds to ice the game for Colorado College.
Auguste followed that performance with a double-double on
Saturday, scoring 15 and handing out 11 assists as the Tigers prevailed
in convincing fashion, 63-44.
For the two games, Auguste averaged 13.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 11.5 assists and 3.0 steals
per game as Colorado College improved its overall mark to 5-4.
For the season, Auguste is 11th in the league in scoring (14.2
points per game), tied for eighth in rebounding (7.8 per game), ninth in
steals (2.56 per game), tied for 13th in free throw percentage (76.5%) and leads the SCAC in
assists (7.11 per game).
