ANDREW KING OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a
6-6, 195-pound sophomore forward from Granbury, Texas, and MIKE
MOORE OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY, a 5-8, 160-pound sophomore guard
from Elkhart, Ind., have been selected the SCAC Men's
Basketball Co-Players-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February
12
through Sunday, February 18.
King
averaged 19.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per game as the Warriors locked
up the No. 6 seed in the upcoming SCAC Men's Basketball Tournament with
road victories over Trinity (70-54) and Southwestern (68-64).
The SCAC tournament appearance will be the first-ever for the Hendrix
men's program.
King posted his seventh double-double of the season (19 points
and 17 rebounds) in Friday's victory at Trinity. He just missed another
the following day with 20 points and nine rebounds against Southwestern.
For the week, King shot 51.9% (14-27) from the floor and 61.1%
(11-18) from the free throw line. He also had three assists and one
steal.
King ends the regular season ranked fourth in the SCAC in scoring
at 16.5 points per game. He is also fourth in rebounding (7.9 per game),
10th in field goal percentage (52.3%) and 15th in free throw percentage
(66.2%).
Moore posted
double-doubles in points and assists in both games over the weekend as
the Tigers locked up the top seed at this weekend's SCAC Tournament.
Moore, who sank 63.6% of his three-point field goal attempts
(7-11), had 18 points and 10 assists against Sewanee and 12 points and
11 assists against Oglethorpe. Moore is the only player in the league this year with
double-doubles in categories other than points and rebounds and has
three such performances.
For the season, Moore is averaging 11.2 points per game (19th in
the SCAC) and leads the league in assists at 5.12 per game. He is ninth
in steals, averaging 1.44 per contest, and is fourth in both three-point
field goals made (2.32 per game) and three-point field goal percentage
(45.3%).

BONDI OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY, a
5-10 senior forward from Park Ridge, Ill., has been selected the SCAC
Women's Basketball
Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 12 through
Sunday, February 18.
Bondi
shot a blistering 72.7% from the
field (16-22) as the Tigers cruised to two conference victories,
locking up the top seed for this weekend's SCAC Tournament.
Bondi averaged 17.5 points and 3.0 rebounds while playing
just 22.5 minutes per game in DePauw's victories over Sewanee
(80-47) and Oglethorpe (95-58).
Bondi continues to lead the SCAC in field goal percentage -
shooting at a 62.0% clip (147 for 237). She is also fifth in the league in scoring
(16.1 points per game), 12th in rebounding (6.0 per game), 10th in
free throw percentage (76.8%) and 14th in steals (1.61 per game).
