Men's Basketball
AUSTIN BROWN OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY, a 6-4, 205-pound senior wing from Evanston, Ill., has been selected the SCAC Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, November 20 through Sunday, November 26.

Brown led the Tigers to two victories at the Mike Rokicki Community Versus Cancer Challenge and earned MVP honors for his performance. Brown averaged 19.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as DePauw defeated Judson (Ill.), 88-84, and Ohio Wesleyan, 85-79, to earn the tournament title. The senior wing man had 15 points in Friday's win and followed that up with a career-high 23 in Saturday's title-clinching victory over Ohio Wesleyan. Brown shot 61.9% (13-21) from the field over the weekend. Brown is currently 12th in the SCAC in scoring, averaging 15.0 points per game and is tied for 16th in rebounding with 4.8 boards per game. He is shooting 59.5% from the floor (sixth in the SCAC).


Women's Basketball
KENDAL GEORGE OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a 5-10 senior forward from Winnie, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, November 20 through Sunday, November 26.

George
poured in 19 points against the seventh-ranked Hardin-Simmons on Tuesday to help lead the Pirates to the 66-64 overtime upset victory. Hardin-Simmons was a Final Four team last season. George was 7 of 13 from the field and 5 of 7 from the charity stripe and also pulled down 11 rebounds, five of them on the offensive end, to lead SU to its first victory over the Cowgirls since the 1990-91 season - snapping a streak of 16 straight losses. George also had two steals and recorded one assist in the win. For the season, George is averaging 19.3 points (tied for third in the SCAC) and 8.3 rebounds (tied for fifth in the SCAC) per game. She is shooting 58.5% from the field (tied for eighth in the SCAC) and 76.9% from the free throw line (ninth in the SCAC).
