Men's Basketball
AUSTIN BROWN OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY, a 6-4, 205-pound senior wing from Evanston, Ill., has been selected the SCAC Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, December 11 through Sunday, December 17.

Brown
scored a career-high 27 points on 11 of 14 shooting from the field (78.6%) as the 24th-ranked Tigers defeated Illinois Tech 84-63 in their only game of the week. Brown, who also added three rebounds, two assists and a steal and sank four of five shots from beyond the three-point arc, needed just 29 minutes to post his career-high point total. For the season, Brown is eighth in the SCAC in scoring, averaging 16.5 points per game and is second in field goal percentage (63.3%) and tied for 14th in free throw percentage (71.4%).

Women's Basketball
ASHLEY FARRELL OF RHODES COLLEGE, a 5-8 junior guard from Collierville, Tenn., has been selected the SCAC Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, December 11 through Sunday, December 17.

Farrell had another strong week as the Lynx swept non-conference road games and won their fourth consecutive game to improve to 7-3 for the season. Against LaGrange, Farrell led all scorers with 21 points, pulled down eight rebounds, had four steals and recorded three blocks as Rhodes won 75-61. In the team's 61-51 win over Huntingdon, Farrell scored 11 points, pulled down seven rebounds, had a career-high eight steals and recorded two blocks. For the weekend, Farrell averaged a stat-sheet filling 16.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.0 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game.
Farrell is currently fourth in the league in scoring, averaging 17.4 points per game. She also leads the SCAC in steals (3.80 per game) and is seventh in assists (3.0 per game) and sixth in blocked shots (0.80 per game). One of the league's most accurate shooters, Farrell is currently 10th in the SCAC in field goal percentage (51.4%), ninth in free-throw percentage (79.7%) and seventh in three-point field goal percentage (44.8%).
