McGinlay named Regional Coach of the Year

Trinity men's soccer coach Paul
McGinlay was named the NSCAA South Central Region Coach of the
Year after leading the team to the Division III Championship
game this season. Trinity finished the year with a 23-1

to Middlebury

Fla. -
Middlebury (Vt.) College won the
NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship Saturday 4-3 on
penalty kicks, after a scoreless game, over top-ranked Trinity
University at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex.
Middlebury, which played in its first Final Four, completed
the season with an 18-2-2 record. The Tigers, competing in
their third Final Four, finished at 23-1-0. Trinity, led by
head coach Paul McGinlay, won the national crown in 2003.

NCAA Semifinals on Friday evening at the Disney Wide World of

Middlebury (Vt.) College for the NCAA Championship at 6 p.m.
ET on Saturday. Middlebury (17-3-1), competing in its first
NCAA Final Four, advanced 3-1 on penalty kicks after a 0-0
double-overtime tie with Loras (Iowa) in the other semifinal
game.

University hung on to defeat No. 20 Washington University,
2-1, in the 2007 NCAA Division III Sectional Final at Francis
Field in St. Louis, Mo., on Sunday afternoon. With the win,
Trinity advances to its third NCAA Division III semifinal in
school history. The Tigers also made semifinals appearances in
2002 and 2003. They will face the winner of the Messiah and
Montclair State Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena
Vista, Fla., on Friday, Nov. 23.

the SCAC Offensive and Defensive Players-of-the-Year respectively for
2007. For Altman, it is the second consecutive year he has won the award.
In that same balloting, Mike Harris of DePauw University was tabbed SCAC
Newcomer-of-the-Year, and Southwestern University's Don Gregory and Trinity's Paul McGinlay
split the vote to share SCAC Coach-of-the-Year honors.

UT-Dallas in NCAA First Round

seventh consecutive week. In the Central Region,
Trinity (17-0-0) remains in first for the ninth straight week,
while Centre (14-4-1) slipped three places in the rankings to
sixth after splitting matches in conference play last weekend. In the Great Lakes

wrap up SCAC title with 6-1 win over Oglethorpe
ATLANTA, Ga.
- Trinity University, ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division III,
remained undefeated at 17-0-0 and 9-0-0 SCAC with a 6-1 win at
Oglethorpe University on Sunday. The win clinched the sixth
straight conference title for the Tigers. Sophomore midfielder
Joseph DeCosta led the way with a hat trick, of three goals.

Foundation
Centre's Crump scores overtime game-winner
DANVILLE,
Ky. - In a very emotional night, which saw $5,300
donated in the name of Sue Hauck and Elizabeth Walter to the
Susan G. Komen Foundation, senior Robbie Crump scored the
game-winning goal in overtime on senior night to
defeat Austin
College 3-2, Saturday, Oct. 27 in Danville.
Crump is the son of Sue Hauck, who passed away earlier this
fall from breast cancer.

Junior midfielder Anthony Amaya of
Millsaps was named to the D3kicks.com National Team of the
Week for the week ending Sunday, September 9. Amaya recorded
his first points of the season in a 4-3 loss at Louisiana
College on Friday, connecting on a penalty kick in the 49th
minute for his first goal before an assist to teammate Heath
Smith on the ensuing goal in the 72nd minute.

SCAC has four teams in NSCAA/adidas
regional rankings
The SCAC has four schools represented
in this week's NSCAA/adidas Men's Soccer Regional Rankings. In the Central Region,
Trinity (4-0-0) remains in first followed by Centre (3-1-1) at
fifth and
Southwestern (3-0-1) at 10th. In the Great Lakes
Region, DePauw (3-0-1) remains in third for the second
consecutive week.

Trinity just one slot
for the top in D3kicks.com Top 25
Trinity's men's soccer team
continued its climb up the D3kicks.com Top 25 rankings, moving
up a position to second in this week's poll. The Tigers
(4-0-0) defeated UT-Dallas (5-0) and Hardin-Simmons (7-0) last
week. No other SCAC school received votes in the
D3kicks.com rankings.

Trinity
heads NSCAA/adidas Top 25 for second consecutive week;
DePauw remains at 21st; Centre slips from rankings
For the second
consecutive week, Trinity (4-0-0) sits atop the NSCAA/adidas
men's top 25 rankings. DePauw's (3-0-1) position in the poll
also remained unchanged as the Tigers are in at 21st. Centre
(3-1-1), which was 22nd last week, dropped from the rankings
this week after going 0-1-1 last weekend.

Trinity's Maddox;
DePauw's Rielley named to D3kicks.com Team of the Week

Senior defender Will Maddox of
Trinity (far left) and senior midfielder Jeremy Rielley of DePauw
(immediate left) were
each named to the D3kicks.com National Team of the Week.
Maddox defended very well against a late Whitworth onslaught
and was outstanding against Pacific Lutheran this past
weekend. Rielley scored five goals in wins over Wabash and
Holy Cross (Ind.), netting two in first half at Wabash and
three in the opening 18 minutes against Holy Cross.

The NSCAA
released its first regional rankings of the 2007 season and
the SCAC has four schools represented. In the Central Region,
Trinity (2-0-0) is ranked first, Centre is third (2-0-0) and
Southwestern (1-0-1) is ranked ninth. Over in the Great Lakes
Region, DePauw (2-0-0) is ranked third.

Trinity's men's soccer team
improved four places from
seventh to third in the first D3kicks.com Top 25 poll of the
2007 regular season. The Tigers opened the season with two
victories - a 2-1 win over Whitworth and a 3-1 victory over
Pacific Lutheran. No other SCAC school received votes in the
D3kicks.com rankings.

Birmingham-Southern
receives vote
The Trinity University
men's soccer team is ranked
seventh in the 2007 preseason D3kicks.com Top 25 rankings. The Tigers, coming off
a 19-1-1 season and the program's 10th SCAC title, is the only conference school
in the Top 25. SCAC newcomer Birmingham-Southern College
received one vote in the poll. The Panthers were 6-10-1 as a
member of the Division I Big South Conference last season.
