SCAC has nine selected to NSCAA Division III Women's All-Region Soccer Teams
Federspiel of DePauw; Koenig and Semmler of Trinity earn First Team honors

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its 2006 NCAA Division III Women's All-Region Teams today and the SCAC had nine individuals receive recognition. Jessica Koenig and Kate Semmler, both of Trinity University, were named All-South Region First Team while teammates Lauren Andrews and Jennifer Wray were Second team honorees. Colleen Walsh of Austin College and Katy Buckner of Rhodes College were named to the Third Team. In the Great Lakes Region, Davis Federspiel of DePauw University was a First Team selection and teammate Mary Beth Robinson was named to the Second Team. In the release of the inaugural D3kicks.com All-American Women's Soccer Team, Jessica Koenig of Trinity University was named to the Second Team and Davis Federspiel of DePauw University was a Third Team selection. Koenig along with teammate Jennifer Fifield were selected First Team All-South Region. Trinity had three players named to the All-South Region Second Team - Lauren Andrews, Jennifer Wray and Kate Semmler. Trinity moves to top of D3kicks.com national rankings
Trinity University (13-0-1), after spending four weeks at No. 2, moved to top of this week's D3kicks.com national Top 25. Trinity defeated Centre College, 1-0, and previously No. 22 DePauw University, 1-0, in SCAC play last weekend. Messiah, which had been No. 1 all year, lost its first match of the season to SUNY-Oneonta, which allowed the TU Tigers to move to No. 1. Trinity new No. 1; DePauw 17th in this week's NSCAA Women's Top 25
After four straight weeks at No. 2, Trinity University is the nation's new No. 1 according to this week's NSCAA/adidas Top 25 National Rankings. The TU Tigers (13-0-1) defeated two regionally-ranked teams last weekend in SCAC play, Centre, 1-0 and DePauw, 1-0, and coupled with Messiah's 2-1 loss to SUNY-Oneonta, moved to the rankings top position. SCAC has four in NSCAA Regional Rankings
For the first time since Sept. 12, the SCAC has four teams in the NSCAA Regional rankings. Trinity University (13-0-1) remains atop the South Region NSCAA/adidas women's rankings for the eighth consecutive week after winning its two SCAC games last week - 1-0 shutouts of two regionally-ranked teams: Centre College and DePauw University. Rhodes College (11-3-2) moved up a place in the South Region rankings to eighth. The Lynx defeated Hendrix, 5-1, and Austin College, 1-0 in overtime, in SCAC action last weekend. Despite losing to both Trinity and Southwestern University, 1-0, DePauw University (9-4-0) remained in second place in the Great Lakes Region rankings. Junior goalkeeper Jennifer Fifield of Trinity University was selected to the D3kicks.com National Team of the Week for her efforts last week. Fifield recorded a pair of shutouts in SCAC play over the weekend, keeping Trinity in the lead in the SCAC standings.

For the fourth consecutive week, Trinity University (11-0-1) is ranked second in the D3kicks.com national Top 25. For the fourth consecutive week, Trinity University is ranked second in the NSCAA/adidas Top 25 National Rankings. The TU Tigers (11-0-1) defeated Schreiner (Texas) University, 10-0, it their only game of the week. DePauw University (9-2-0) was off last week, but that didn't stop the Tigers from moving up in the national rankings. Trinity first; Rhodes ninth in South; DePauw moves to second in Great Lakes in NSCAA Regional Rankings
Trinity University (11-0-1) remained atop the South Region NSCAA/adidas women's rankings for the seventh consecutive week after winning its only game of the week - a 10-0 blanking of Schreiner (Texas) University. After falling out of the rankings two weeks ago, Rhodes College (9-3-2) re-entered the South Region rankings at ninth. The Lynx won three games last week, defeating Crichton, 7-0, Eastern (Pa.), 2-1, and St. Mary's (Md.), 2-1. Despite taking the week off and after spending three straight weeks at No. 3, DePauw University (9-2-0) moved up a place to second in the Great Lakes Region rankings. First-year midfielder Paige Rowley of Trinity University was selected to the D3kicks.com National Team of the Week for her efforts last week. Rowley scored five goals in two Tiger wins over the weekend to open conference play. Rowley had two goals on five shots in Friday's win over 24th-ranked Rhodes, followed by a Sunday afternoon hat trick against Millsaps in which she scored three consecutive goals. The Trinity University women's soccer team remained in fourth for the second consecutive week and, for the second consecutive week, DePauw University jumped six places to seventh in this week's D3kicks.com Top 25 rankings. Joining the TU and DU Tigers as SCAC representatives in the Top 25, Rhodes College makes its debut in the rankings, tying for 25th place after receiving votes the last two weeks. Trinity University remained in fourth place, DePauw University moved from 10th to eighth and for the first time this year, Rhodes College cracked the Top 25, tying for 24th place, in this week's NSCAA/adidas Top 25 National Rankings. The TU Tigers (4-0-1) won its only match of the week - defeating William Smith, 1-0 in overtime. It was Trinity's fourth overtime in five matches. The DU Tigers (5-0-0) also won their only match - a 2-1 victory over regionally-ranked Ohio Wesleyan. Sophomore midfielder Hayley Barber of Millsaps College was selected to the D3kicks.com National Team of the Week for her efforts last week. Barber helped the Millsaps women's soccer team pick up its first win of the season on Saturday, scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 shutout win over Louisiana College.

Trinity to improve soccer fields; weight room facilities

SAN ANTONIO
, Texas - Trinity University Director of Athletics Bob King has announced improvements to the school’s soccer field and weight room. The soccer field, dedicated in 1990, will be extended by eight yards, making it 120 yards long. The width will be expanded to 76 yards, from 66. The dimensions will meet all NCAA specifications. New 70-foot lighting poles will be installed, bringing the field to television broadcast quality standards. Plans are under way to build a press box structure on the south end of the field. Dylan Harrison Named Sewanee Head Women's Soccer Coach

SEWANEE, Tenn. - Dylan Harrison has been promoted to head women’s soccer coach replacing Nick Cowell according to Mark Webb, Sewanee’s Director of Athletics. Cowell resigned in April to take the women's head soccer coaching position at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. Complete Release

Tom Noor Named Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Hendrix
