Hicks named Head Softball Coach at Rhodes
MEMPHIS, Tenn.
- David Hicks has been named the Head Softball Coach at Rhodes College. Coach Hicks currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities, a position he’s held for seven years. “We’re very excited about David leading our softball program. For the past six years we’ve operated with a part-time head coach, and it’s been difficult building the program,” said Director of Athletics Mike Clary. Complete Release

Trinity's Super Sophs sweep Player and Pitcher of the Year in 2005 All-SCAC Softball voting
SUWANEE, Ga. -
In exclusive all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) voting by the league’s head coaches, Trinity University’s Stephanie Priester and Erin Mulvey were selected the conference’s Offensive Player and Pitcher-of-the-Year respectively after the duo led the Tigers to the 2005 conference title – the program’s fifth softball crown in the seven-year history of the sport. In that same balloting, Trinity head coach Roland Rodriguez and Centre College coach Wendie Austin-Robinson shared SCAC Coach-of-the-Year honors. Complete Release

Mulvey and Priester of Trinity; Herrera of Sewanee named to Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region Teams
Three SCAC Student-Athletes were named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-Region softball teams. Sophomores Erin Mulvey and Stephanie Priester of Trinity - the SCAC Pitcher and Offensive Player-of-the-Year, were named to the All-West Region Team. Mulvey was a second team selection and Priester was named to the Third Team. Eliza Herrera of Sewanee, a senior second baseman, was named All-Central Region Second Team. Trinity eliminated from NCAA Regional

REDLANDS, Calif. Fifth-seeded Trinity was eliminated Saturday from the NCAA Division III West Region tournament at the University of Redlands. First, Trinity ousted No. 2 Redlands 8-4, but then fell 3-0 to third-seeded Louisiana College in the double-elimination tournament. The Tigers, who had never won a postseason game in three previous NCAA appearances, went 2-2 at the regional event. Trinity completed its season with a 28-22 mark. Trinity softball splits on NCAA Regional first day; Wins 15-inning marathon

Trinity wins two over Centre to earn SCAC Softball Title

CONWAY, Ark. - Trinity University shut out Centre College 2-0 and 5-0 to capture its fifth SCAC Championship in seven years.
