DePauw's Doogan Named 2008 SCAC Woman of the Year
SUWANEE, Ga. -
Recent DePauw University graduate Katherine (Katie) Doogan has been named the 2008 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Woman of the Year. Doogan starred both in and out of the swimming pool for DePauw. She completed her four-year athletic career by being named the SCAC Swimmer of the Year for the second straight year after leading the 15th-ranked Tigers with three individual wins at the 2008 conference championship meet. Cook and Doogan of DePauw named SCAC Swimmers-of-the-Year; Cook and Emerick of Trinity selected SCAC Divers-of-the-Year
SUWANEE, Ga. -
Based on exclusive voting by the head coaches of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), John Cook and Katie Doogan – both of DePauw University – were named the league’s male and female Swimmer-of-the-Year, respectively. In that same voting, Ryan Cook and Hayley Emerick – both of Trinity University – were selected as the SCAC male and female Diver-of-the-Year, respectively. Complete Release

DePauw finishes ninth at NCAA Championships

OXFORD, Ohio - DePauw University posted the second-best finish in school history after finishing ninth at the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The Tigers totaled 132 points in the meet and only the 1985 team's seventh-place showing was better. Complete Release

Trinity divers repeat Honorable Mention All-America performance

OXFORD, Ohio - Two Trinity University divers earned Honorable Mention All-America honors Saturday on the 3-meter board at the NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at Miami University. First-year diver Hayley Emerick finished ninth with a score of 443.65 and senior Lauren Walstad was tenth with a mark of 434.90. Complete Release

SOUTHLAKE, Texas -
The 2008 SCAC Swimming & Diving Championships ended the same way they did last year. The Trinity University women and the DePauw University men clinched their fifth and fourth straight titles respectively Saturday night at the Carroll Independent School District Aquatics Center. Trinity swept top diving honors as Hayley Emerick and Ryan Cook were named SCAC Divers of the Meet, while DePauw took both SCAC Swimmer of the Meet awards with Katie Doogan and Robert Alexander. Trinity Women and DePauw Men lead 2008 SCAC Swimming Championships following Friday's Finals

SOUTHLAKE, Texas -
The second full day of SCAC Swimming & Diving competition ended at the 2008 Championships on Friday, with the same two teams still leading the respective meets. Trinity's women hold a lead of nearly 100 points over DePauw, finishing the second day with 613.5 points - compared to 522.5 points for DePauw.  In the men's race for the title, DePauw has scored 622.5 points, to a total of 602 points by Trinity. SOUTHLAKE, Texas -
The 2008 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships will be held Wednesday, February 13 through Saturday, February 16 at the Carroll ISD Aquatics Center in Southlake, Texas. Austin College, Southwestern University and Trinity University are serving as host of the event.
