DePauw earns three of five ITA Regional Awards

Ind. - The
DePauw men's tennis team picked up three of the five regional honors
selected by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. DePauw head coach
Tom Cath was named the Central Region Coach of the Year, while Kortney
Keith was named the Rookie Player of the Year and Marshall Kuresman
earned the Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship.

Trinity's men
head to NCAA Quarterfinals; DePauw drops first round match
Seventh-ranked Trinity advanced
to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals with a 4-0 West Region victory
over No. 9 Pacific Lutheran Saturday at Delavan Tennis Stadium. In
Central Region first-round play, eight-ranked DePauw dropped a 4-3
thriller to 23rd-ranked Kenyon on Saturday in Greencastle.

Bondi of DePauw; Shaughnessy of Trinity highlight 2005 All-SCAC
Tennis Teams
SUWANEE, Ga. -
In
exclusive voting by the head coaches in the league, Liz Bondi of
DePauw University and Jim Shaughnessy of Trinity University have been
selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Tennis
Players-of-the-Year for the 2005 season. In that same balloting,
DePauw swept the Coach-of-the-Year awards as Tom Cath was voted Men’s
COTY and Scott Riggle was recognized as Women’s COTY.

DePauw and Trinity selected to NCAA Championship Field
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.
-- The NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Subcommittee has selected the 27
teams that will participate in the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis
Championships.
The teams will play a single-elimination tournament with the first and
second rounds played at non-predetermined regional sites. The
quarterfinal, semifinal and final rounds will be played at the
University of California, Santa Cruz. Finals competition will also be
held at UC Santa Cruz, May 18-23.

Trinity wins hard-fought match over DePauw to take 12th consecutive

Trinity University men finished off DePauw University 4-3 - winning two of the
doubles matches before splitting the six single matches with three each. The
teams of John Matthews/Nick Kaloudis and Jim Shaughnessy/Stuart Row won doubles
8-6 and 9-7.

- Highlighted by a water baptism of men's coach John
Shackelford in honor of his 300th career win, the Sewanee men's and women's
teams swept Centre College in NCAA Division III tennis here at the Bruton-Guerry
Tennis Center.
