the Tigers dropped a 5-1 decision to eighth-ranked Denison.

Defeats Sewanee in Battle of SCAC Powerhouses; Texas Tigers

SEWANEE, Tenn. - Trinity took a
2-1 lead over the host Sewanee Tigers after doubles on
Saturday, and then in singles, Trinity edged out the Tigers,
gaining its fifth win as Sewanee's Jordan Casey held a
commanding lead at #3 before the decision.

Sewanee Tops Principia in NCAA First Round

SEWANEE, Tenn. - Sewanee jumped
out to a 3-0 lead over Principia in the first round of the
DIII Women’s Tennis Championships at a windy Bruton-Guerry
Tennis Center in Sewanee today and cruised to a 9-0 win.

DePauw, Sewanee and Trinity named to 47-team NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament field
DePauw and Sewanee to host regionals
DePauw University
received the SCAC's automatic bid and conference runner-up Trinity
University, along with Sewanee-University of the South, were
selected as two of nine at-large teams to compete in the 2008 NCAA
Division III Women's Tennis Championships.
The teams will play a
single-elimination tournament with the first, second and third
rounds played at regional sites, May 2-4.

Sixth-ranked DePauw captures first outright SCAC Title

GREENCASTLE, Ind. -
The sixth-ranked Tigers improved
to 21-4 and earned their first outright Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference title after defeating 18th-ranked Trinity,
8-1, in the SCAC championship match. Trinity dropped to 14-8
with the loss.

SKILLMAN, N.J. - After spending three weeks at fifth,
DePauw University women's tennis team slipped on place to
sixth in this week's ITA National Top 30 Poll. Trinity
University remained at 18th while Sewanee fell two places to
19th.

SKILLMAN, N.J. - For the third consecutive week, DePauw
University is ranked fifth in the ITA National Top 30 Poll.
Sewanee slipped on place in this week's rankings, falling from
16th to 17th, and Trinity dropped seven slots to 18th.
