names Coaches-of-the-Year for Spring Sports
SUWANEE, Ga. -
After exclusive voting by
head coaches of each sport, the Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference (SCAC) announced its 2007 Coaches-of-the-Year for men’s
and women’s track and field and men’s and women’s golf.

Trinity's Byars finishes 12th in decathlon at NCAA Championships

Trinity University senior Zach
Byars finished twelfth in the men's decathlon at the NCAA
Championships, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He
finished in the top five in three of the 10 events, including
third place in the 1500 meter run.

DePauw senior
Chad Bennett completed his collegiate career by finishing 11th in
the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Division III Men's and
Women's Track and Field Championships.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas

Trinity University's men's and
women's track & field teams swept the team competition at the 2007
SCAC Championships for the first time since 2003. The Tigers also
had the SCAC Male and Female Athlete of the Year award-winners as
Emily Loeffler and Zach Byars earned the honors. This is the
second straight time Byars has won the top honor. Complete
