Trinity University senior Christyn Schumann won her third
consecutive NCAA Division III women’s outdoor high jump
championship Friday, at Benedictine University - the site of the
2006 championships. Schumann jumped 5 feet, 9.75 inches (1.77
meters).

Trinity Women Take SCAC Track and Field Titles; Trinity's Hankins
and Byars sweep individual honors

DePauw University men successfully defended their title with 184
points to out distance runner-up Trinity University (151), while
the Trinity women won the meet with 224 points, followed by
runner-up DePauw (143) and Rhodes (102) in third in the nine-team

Hendrix's Coats
runs eighth-fastest time in DIII history

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -
Senior Julie Coats
of Hendrix ran a 10:41.27 in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the
Rhodes College Lynx Invitational on Saturday, the eighth-fastest
time in the history of Division III. The mark demolishes her track
record of 10:59.45 set last year at the Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference Championships. It also breaks her school
record of 10:49.9 set last May at the Dr. Keeler Invitational in
Naperville, Illinois.
