Hendrix's Coats runs eighth-fastest time in DIII history

Senior Julie Coats of Hendrix ran a 10:41.27 in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the Rhodes College Lynx Invitational on Saturday, the eighth-fastest time in the history of Division III. The mark demolishes her track record of 10:59.45 set last year at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships. It also breaks her school record of 10:49.9 set last May at the Dr. Keeler Invitational in Naperville, Illinois. Complete Release
