The symbol of conference supremacy is the 300-pound railroad bell which was donated to the SCAC by the Norfolk and Western Railroad. This bell, the "President's Trophy", is a rotating award and goes to the school with the best overall sports record for the year. Current standings are listed below:

TRINITY SURGES TO WIN EIGHTH PRESIDENT'S TROPHY
With the highest
point total in conference history, Trinity University defeated DePauw University
805 to 775 to claim its eighth SCAC President's Trophy in the past nine years.
The TU Tigers won championships in men's and women's tennis and softball and
also had second place finishes in baseball, men's golf, and men's track and
field to erase a 17.5 point deficit heading into the 2002 Spring Sports Festival
- which was hosted by Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., from Thursday, April 25 - Sunday, April 28.
The Trinity women have won all 11 SCAC tennis championships while the TU men are
almost as dominant having taken 10 of 11 titles. The Trinity softball team has
won all four championships since the sport became a part of the Spring Sports
Festival in 1999.
Completing the order of finish in the race for the league's
"all-sports" trophy, Rhodes College finished third (602.5), University
of the South was fourth (522.5) with Centre College just behind in fifth (520).
Southwestern University finished sixth (452.5), Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology was seventh (360), Hendrix College was eighth (300), Millsaps College
finished ninth (277.5) and Oglethorpe University was tenth (230).
DePauw claimed spring sports titles in women's golf and men's track and field.
The golf title was the first for the Tiger women in four years of conference
competition, while the men's track team has captured three consecutive SCAC
championships.
In other spring sports, Southwestern won its fifth baseball title in seven
years, the Oglethorpe men continued its domination in men's golf - taking the
school's fourth championship in five years, and Rhodes captured its third SCAC
women's track and field championship and first since 1998.
