Division III Women's Volleyball Championship play on Saturday, Trinity University
advanced to the National Quarterfinals for the fourth time in program history
with a 3-1 victory over Emory University in the South Region finals. At the
Central Region final, Rhodes College saw its magical season come to an end at
the hands of second-ranked and host Washington (Mo.) University in three
straight games.

In 2006 NCAA
Division III Women's Volleyball Championship play on Friday, Trinity University
defeated fellow SCAC foe, Southwestern University, and Austin College lost a
heartbreaker in five games to Emory University in the semifinals of the South
Region bracket. Meanwhile, Rhodes College won its second straight in the the Central Region
and will play Washington (Mo.) University in the region final on Saturday.

record four SCAC schools were invited to participate. Trinity earned the

ATLANTA,
Ga. - Oglethorpe University plays host to the rest of the league at this
weekend's regular season-ending 2006 SCAC Cross Divisional No. 2 Volleyball
Tournament. Sixteen percent of the nation's Top 25 will be represented at the
tournament as four SCAC teams are ranked heading into the three-day event.
Trinity University is ranked seventh, followed by Southwestern University at
16th, Austin College at 17th and Rhodes College at 24th.
