Contained within is a historical look at volleyball in the SCAC - dating back to 1991 - including a complete listing of divisional, cross-divisional and championship results, single-game, single-season and career records and a listing of every All-SCAC team. Trinity advances to NCAA Quarterfinals; Rhodes falls to Washington (Mo.) in Region Final
Tigers to play Wittenberg in Round of Eight

In 2006 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship play on Saturday, Trinity University advanced to the National Quarterfinals for the fourth time in program history with a 3-1 victory over Emory University in the South Region finals. At the Central Region final, Rhodes College saw its magical season come to an end at the hands of second-ranked and host Washington (Mo.) University in three straight games. In 2006 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship play on Friday, Trinity University defeated fellow SCAC foe, Southwestern University, and Austin College lost a heartbreaker in five games to Emory University in the semifinals of the South Region bracket. Meanwhile, Rhodes College won its second straight in the the Central Region and will play Washington (Mo.) University in the region final on Saturday. , Ind. - When the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Committee announced the field of 60 teams for the 2006 Division III Women's Volleyball Championship, a record four SCAC schools were invited to participate. Oglethorpe plays host to season-ending SCAC Cross
ATLANTA
, Ga. - Oglethorpe University plays host to the rest of the league at this weekend's regular season-ending 2006 SCAC Cross Divisional No. 2 Volleyball Tournament. Sixteen percent of the nation's Top 25 will be represented at the tournament as four SCAC teams are ranked heading into the three-day event. Only league in nation with four teams in rankings

Not much changed in the eighth 2006 CSTV/AVCA Top 25 regular season poll as the SCAC still has four schools ranked in the Top 25, led by Trinity University (27-5) at seventh for the second consecutive week. In the seventh 2006 CSTV/AVCA Top 25 regular season poll. the SCAC has a record four schools ranked in the Top 25, led by Trinity University (25-5) at seventh - a top place drop from last week. Southwestern University (25-6) dropped from 12th to 16th Austin College (27-5) improved five positions to 17th.
