Shankman named
South/Southeast Region Men's Coach-of-the-Year

NEW ORLEANS,
La. - After leading his Lynx to a tie with Emory
University at the South/Southeast Regional, Rhodes College's Robert
Shankman was named the region's Coach-of-the-Year. Since Rhodes' fifth
man finished ahead of Emory's fifth man, the Lynx were awarded the
regional title. The 31st-ranked Rhodes men will be making their second
straight appearance at the NCAA Championships.

College men finished in first place at the NCAA Men's South/Southeast
Cross Country Regional meet on Saturday to qualify for next weekend's
national meet at Northfield, Minn.

DePauw finishes sixth at Great Lakes Regional

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.
-
DePauw totaled 184 points
and finished sixth at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. Host Calvin won
with 27 points followed by Ohio Northern with 114, Anderson with 125,
Heidelberg with 128 and Mount Union with 143. Dusty Kime led the
Tigers with a ninth-place finish in 25:14.15 to automatically qualify
as an individual at the national meet.

at-large bid to Nationals as the Tiger men finish third at West

PORTLAND,
Ore.
- The Colorado College men
received an at-large bid to next week’s
Division III championship in Northfield, Minn., following a third-place
finish at the West Regionals on Saturday. The Tigers were paced by
Julian Boggs and Alex Nichols, who finished second and third
overall, respectively. Kiran Moorty gave the Tigers a third
runner in the top by with a sixth-place finish.

exclusive voting by the head coaches of the Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference, Colorado College's Ted Castaneda was named SCAC Men's Cross
Country Coach-of-the-Year and DePauw University's Kori Stoffregen was
selected SCAC
Women’s Cross Country Coach-of-the-Year.

Colorado College men jumped 12 places in the U.S. Track & Field and
Cross Country Coaches Association Top 35 poll - moving from 31st to a

Colorado College wins first SCAC title; Tigers take 2007 Men's Cross
Country Championship

Nichols earns Runner-of-the-Year honors
GEORGETOWN,
Texas -
The 31st-ranked Colorado College men won its first-ever SCAC
championship at the 2007 SCAC Cross Country Championships conducted
Saturday morning at Southwestern University. Colorado was paced by
Alex Nichols, who earned Runner-of-the-Year honors with a time of
25:36.05 - the 13th fastest time in SCAC championships history. The
victory by the CC Tigers snapped DePauw University's seven-year
stranglehold on the men's title.
