Colorado College and
Trinity women qualify for NCAA Cross Country National Meet; DePauw receives
at-large bid
Two SCAC individuals
also qualify
The Colorado
College women finished second at the West Regionals in Chino, Calif., and the
Trinity University women finished second at the South Regionals in Atlanta, Ga.,
qualifying both teams for the 2006 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country
national meet next Saturday in Wilmington, Ohio. The DePauw University women,
who finished third in the Great Lakes Region race, received an at-large
bid to the national meet. Eileen Schiling of Centre College and Laura Broederdorf of Hendrix
College each qualified for the
national meet by finishing in the top seven at their respective regional races.

Stoffregen has been selected Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC)
Coach-of-the-Year for both men's and women's cross country for the 2006
season in exclusive voting by the head coaches
in the conference.

DANVILLE,
Ky. - The 27th-ranked DePauw men's team won its seventh straight
conference championship and the 26th-ranked DePauw women's team won its
fourth straight at the 2006 SCAC Cross Country Championships conducted
Saturday morning at Centre College.

Centre prepares to host 2006 SCAC Cross Country Championships

DANVILLE, Ky.

Centre College will play host to the 2006
Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country
Championships, Saturday, Oct. 28, in Danville, Kentucky. This will be
the 16th SCAC Cross Country Championship meet and the third time Centre
has hosted the event.

DePauw 20th; Colorado College
34th in women's rankings
In the third United States Track & Field and
Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III poll of the
2006 season - ranking the top 35 men's and women's Division III cross
country teams in the country - the DePauw University women are ranked 20th
and the Colorado College women are ranked 34th.
The weekly poll will continue up to the NCAA Division III cross country
championships Nov. 18 in West Chester, Ohio.
